The SANKARA SEVA SAMAJAM SERVICE TRUST is registered under the Trusts Act, with its registration date being September 10, 2009. “Registration Number.” 216/BK4/2009. It was documented at 75/8, Kadambankulam, Sanarankovil Taluk, in the Thirunelveli District. The PIN number is 627857. Our organization focused on establishing Farmers Clubs in villages to assist rural farmers and promote women’s development programs, which included setting up these clubs and federations.

The women’s development initiative featured a one-day awareness program in 2013-14 aimed at increasing awareness about opening bank accounts and establishing credit connections for members of Self-Help Groups (SHGs). The program was conducted in the Vasudevanallur, Sankarankovil, and Melaneelithanallur Blocks of Tenkasi District.

The Sankara Seva Samajam Service Trust has been revised. The address and the members of the Executive Committee have been revised.     During this period, our Trust began to establish Federation Activities with the help of members from farmers’ clubs registered under the Society Act, referred to as PASUMAI BHARATHAM UZHAVAR MANDRAM. The goal of this initiative was to improve farmers’ productivity by implementing advanced irrigation technologies, particularly drip irrigation, in rural areas like Vasudevanallur, Sankarankovil, and Melaneelithanallur Blocks in Tenkasi District, with assistance from NABARD-RO.

The NGO has also concentrated on offering MEDP skill training in tailoring to women who are part of Self-Help Groups (SHGs). This program has created self-employment opportunities and enhanced income and living conditions for women in rural areas. Training sessions were conducted in the rural regions of Vasudevanallur, Sankarankovil, and Melaneellithanallur Block in Tenkasi District from 2014-15 to 2019-20.
